Type S Scout/Courier
The scout/courier is intended for exploration, survey and courier duty and forms the backbone of the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service fleet. Many are in service in and around the Imperium.

The scout/courier hull displaces 100 tons. Jump performance is jump-2 and maneuver performance is 2-G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 40 tons supports the power plant and one jump-2. Adjacent to the bridge is a Model 1/bis computer. There are four standard staterooms and no low berths. The ship has one hardpoint that comes standard with a double turret. There is one ton allocated for fire control equipment. An air/raft is standard as the ship's vehicle. Cargo capacity is 3 tons. The ship is streamlined for atmospheric entry.

The scout/courier requires a crew of one pilot/engineer. The ship normally carries three passengers but can carry seven in non-commercial service only. The ship cost MCr29.43.
